Manufactured from one piece, the stainless steel IGV sensors by EGE are especially impact-resistant inductive proximity switches. The sensors can withstand more than ten impacts of 8 joules each without a problem. Such an impact corresponds to a 1 kg weight being dropped on the sensor from a height of 80 cm. The sensors are unsusceptible to metal chips, vibrations and abrasive media and can also withstand aggressive coolants and lubricants. In addition they also have an increased electro-magnetic tolerance. This makes the sensors especially suitable for use in rough industrial environments, for use in vehicles but also in the offshore sector. The sensors are available in models M12 to M30 with an M12 plug-in connection or hardwired cable. The sensors can be used in temperatures from -25 to +80 ° C and have a protection rating of IP 68 and IP 69K.
