EGE's microwave level controllers MFC have a sensor tip which reacts to contact with a medium. Users can adjust the sensitivity of the sensor tip by means of a pushbutton. This makes it possible to distinguish between different fluid layers in containers (e.g. water and oil), allowing for easy fluid separation. The microwave sensors, which are manufactured from stainless steel and PTFE, are suitable for nearly all kinds of containers and environments. They also reliably detect other media such as powder or pellets. Designed for a temperature range between -20 and +85 °C, the sensors offer IP 67 protection. They are available with lengths between 120 and 1000 mm which allows users to realize a wide range of installation options. The sensors operate with supply voltages between 16 and 30 V DC and are connected via M12 plugs.
